About the Average
How ElectionLab calculates approval
ElectionLab gives more weight to newer polls, larger samples, likely-voter surveys, and higher-quality polling organizations. Older surveys gradually lose influence as newer data becomes available.
The tracker currently includes national approval polling only. State-by-state approval polling is not included.
